About us
ArtWine was established in 2007 after Glen Kelly and Judy Valon decided to become a permanent team in both work and life. Judy is a marketer who spent her sales and marketing career in Sydney and New York before moving to South Australia as Marketing Director of Hyatt before running her own business. A qualified Interior designer her artistic skills blend perfectly with Glen’s analytical and management skills. After many years in banking in Sydney and Asia and Adelaide, Glen now owns a successful market research business. Together we manage the ArtWine brand and our wine “future” together.
ArtWine has two vineyards and vineyard accommodation in the Clare Valley and a vineyard in the Adelaide Hills.
Our vision is to focus on alternative varieties that offer something different to wine consumers. Taking a page from the Europeans who drink lighter styles and lower alcohol more food friendly wines, we have employed the renowned Joanne Irvine, Winemaker to be part of our team and create some wonderful exotic wines. We firmly believe that Australia's future lies in alternative wines, creating new and exciting varieties to offer exisiting wine drinkers and embrace potential wine drinkers.
Starting out this year with our first years rating from James Halliday with a thrilling 4 stars, we are also very excited to have received a Gold medal from Winestate for our Pinot Grigio 2011, a couple of Bronze medals and Silver Medals for the Tres Amigos and our Pinot Gris 2009 (now sold out).
